BLIND NUTS

Self-clinching blind press nuts provide an excellent design solution for a variety of reasons. They provide protection against foreign matter and screw intrusion in metal sheets. Also, blind press nuts can be installed in panels as thin as .040"/1mm, and their configuration limits the depth to which mating screws penetrate the assembly, thus ensuring that there is no contact with electronic circuitry within the design. Lastly, they are easy to install using a standard press, as their shanks serve as self-pilots.

The series comprises two types of blind self-clinching press nuts. The first is made from heat-treated steel and generally comes with a zinc clear finish, although other finishes can be requested. And the other is crafted from 300 series stainless steel and is provided in the passivated condition, conforming to ASTM A967 standards.
